Sydney (Pop.4.1m)
Having moved here in 2008 from the UK, I’ve found Sydney to be my favourite large city with a great temperate climate, lovely beaches, great food, lush coves and hills and an exciting nightlife. Although it is a great place to live, it does have a set of problems such as extremely high house prices and severe road traffic. There is a fairly extensive rail network in Sydney, but it is frequently at the upper limit of its capacity.

I don’t know many major cities where you can take a short bus ride to the beach and scuba dive off the coast, take a train to the Blue Mountains for a great bushwalking experience, enjoy exotic food at reasonable prices, and party all night at some of the best pubs and clubs I’ve been to.

The pictures taken in this article were taken during early 2008 along with a few older pictures from a previous trip in 2004.

This article has photos mainly in areas such as the CBD (Central Business District or Downtown), Waverton (where I first lived in Sydney), Lower and Upper North Shores, Darling Harbour and Kings Cross.
