December 2005. While I was driving back from Dallas to Austin from a business meeting, I stopped by into Granger off Highway 95 approximately 40 miles north of Austin. It was verging on being a ghost town with many businesses just abandoned or left derelict. Apparently it has a population of around 1,300. Times must be hard.
