Johnson City (Pop.1,191)
This was the home of Lyndon B. Johnson and sits about 40 miles west of Austin, Texas.

The best thing to see in Johnson City is the Christmas lights. Millions of lights are used to illuminate whole parks and complete buildings. It was pretty amazing.

There’s not a great amount to see in Johnson City otherwise. There’s an old square with a few very nicely-preserved buildings. But I also enjoyed taking photos of the more ‘junky’-type establishment which makes Americana so famous.
